QIDP/Behavior Intervention Specialist (Long Island)

Department: Adult Program
Hours: Full-time
Description:Conduct functional assessments and develop behavior intervention plans to treat problem behaviors. Conduct/oversee staff training. Collect and analyze behavior data. Maintain clinical paperwork as regulated by state. Assist in development of skill acquisition goals and reporting case progress to supervisors.
Skill Needed: Master’s degree in an applied field of psychology (related fields may be considered). BCBA preferred but not required. 5+ years’ experience developing and overseeing behavior intervention plans for individuals with disabilities and significant problem behavior. Knowledge of ABA with documented training in assessment techniques and behavior intervention planning.

Residential Director – Long Island

Residence Manager – Long Island

Department: Residential Program - Dix Hills Residence
Hours: Full-time: Days/Evenings/Weekends
Description:Provide on-going supervision, training and feedback to direct care staff to promote effective job performance and skilled care and treatment of residents. Ensure proper implementation and documentation of individual treatment plans and group recreational programming. Ensure that the residence is clean and well maintained with supplies (food, cleaning supplies, etc.) and that all vehicles and property are in safe and working order. Ensure residents have adequate clothing and personal supplies at all times. Complete monthly, weekly and daily staffing schedules.
Skill Needed: BA/BS degree (Masters degree preferred). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license from state of residence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel). Strong supervisory experience. Must be available on an on-call basis as needed.

QIDP – Staten Island

Department: Adult Program
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
Description:The QIDP is responsible for overseeing many of the clinical services, as well as operational services for the participants in our adult day hab program. Ensures that each consumer is involved in a coordinated and integrated active treatment program. Assist the clinical coordinator in scheduling and arranging full clinical team meetings for review of consumer plans of care and treatment. Ensure that accurate, data-based information is available to clinical team and other treating professionals to help direct treatment decisions. In conjunction with the direct support staff and supervisors, develop goals for consumers that are based on individual needs. Provide regular review of data and consumer progress. Perform assessments to identify consumer needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Provide training (through in-services and hands on instruction) to staff.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree within the human services field (Master’s degree preferred).At least 2 years’ experience working with individuals with autism and/or related developmental disabilities. Working knowledge of applied behavior analysis preferred.

Speech Therapist – Staten Island

Department: Residential Program
Hours: Part-time: 7 hours per week
Description:Provide speech services to residential participants on a 1:1 basis. Complete all necessary paperwork including IEP’s, graphing, etc. Use of augmentative/alternative communication systems (AAC) may be required.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree. Possess or qualify for NYS certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Experience employing assistive technology and/or behavioral principles (ABA). CFY or Licensed Pathologist accepted. Required fingerprints/medical (OPWDD).

Behavior Specialist – Long Island

Department: Genesis School
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Description:Participate in development and revision of behavior intervention plans (BIP) for students. In-service and train staff on BIP implementation. Graph all behavior data and submit monthly summaries of behavior data and graphs to a Clinical Coordinator at the end of the month. Assist other staff in class with the upkeep and updating of their data books. Create token systems, behavior contacts, DRO boards for students in class.
Skill Needed: At least six (6) months experience utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Completion of a degree in a related field or continuing education to complete a degree in a related field.

Direct Support Professional – Afterschool Program

Department: Family Services
Hours: Part-time: Monday to Friday, 2:45pm to 5:30pm
Description:Assist participants in completing daily recreational activities and living skills. Assist in the management of maladaptive behaviors. Provide reinforcement to participants. Assist program group leaders in completing daily notes and progress notes. Cleaning up materials at the end of the program and ensuring materials for the next day are in the bins. Assist with transportation procedures at the end of the day.  This position is in the afterschool program located in Staten Island.
Skill Needed: High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Direct Support Professional – Security Guard – Staten Island

Department: Family Services
Hours: Part-time: Monday to Friday, 2:45pm to 5:30pm
Description:Remain in the front lobby and monitor building entrance. Ensure that individuals entering the school after 4:00 p.m. show identification, state their purpose and sign in. Transport participants from the bus to their proper group location. Take attendance for participants. Communicate any transportation information to group leaders. Ensure that each participant picked up by a parent/guardian has shown identification and has signed for them. Notify group leaders of parents’/guardians’ arrival and van departures. Ensure gym and rooms are cleaned before end of shift.

Outreach Behavior Specialist – Long Island

Assistant Residence Manager – Staten Island

Description:Responsible for assisting the residence manager with all the operational services for the consumers within their assigned house including ensuring that the residence is clean and well maintained and fire safety and emergency procedures are carried out in compliance with policy. Assist with maintaining employee records such as, attendance, accrued PTO, and wage information for payroll purposes. Assist Residence Manager with maintaining personal allowance and banking ledgers. Provide supervision to direct support staff and ensure that household tasks are completed. Document on-going supervision and feedback given to direct support staff. Responsible for ensuring the proper implementation of individual treatment plans and group recreational programming.
Skill Needed: Bachelor’s degree preferably within the human services field. Experience working with individuals with autism and/or related disorders. Working knowledge of applied behavior analysis. A valid driver’s license is required for the position. Must obtain certification in SCIP-R, AMAP, First Aid, and CPR.

Special Education Teacher – Long Island

Description:Provides instructional and behavioral services to students pursuant to their IEP mandates. Develop IEP goals, implement and collect data on student’s educational and behavioral goals, work collaboratively with clinical team to conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIP). Required to write quarterly progress reports and progress updates as needed, transition plans, and any additional assessments required, and participate in CSE process. Clinical Director – Staten Island

Description:The Clinical Director develops clinical systems and oversees clinical programming and delivery across the ABA therapy and case consultation programs of the Diagnostic and Outreach Center. This includes, but is not limited to, training and supervision of behavior analysts, creation of clinical systems, oversight of client progress, interfacing with families etc.
Skill Needed: Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field. Board Certified Behavior Analyst. New York Licensed Behavior Analyst, or obtains NY License within 30 days of hire. Minimum five years of experience providing Behavior Analytic services to individuals with autism in center-based and/or in-home settings. Description:Behavior Analysts hired for this position will serve a small clinical caseload across in-home and center-base service delivery settings. Clinical tasks include conducting initial skills/behavioral assessments, developing treatment goals, conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, analyzing goal and behavior data, conducting staff and parent training and working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum as needed. Additional responsibilities include serving on various agency committees, conducting research projects, supervising BCBA, BCaBA and RBT trainees and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required for all positions.
