Medicaid Service Coordinator – Long Island

Department: Family Services
Hours: Full-time, Days/Evenings
Description:The Medicaid Service Coordinator (MSC) acts as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities by linking them to services needed. The MSC assesses the psychosocial needs of individuals and their families, assists with completing paperwork and maintaining evaluations (medical, psychological and psychosocial), develops and updates Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), maintains contact with families and individuals via telephone, face to face meetings and regularly scheduled home visits.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree in Health or Human Service Field. At least one year of experience as a service coordinator, or one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Valid driver's license.

Registered Nurse – Staten Island

Department: Adult & Residential Programs
Hours: Full-time
Description:Maintain accurate and up-to-date health files on all participants. Administer prescribed medications and maintain medical cabinet with all approved medications, supplies and equipment. Schedule and coordinate dental, medical and pharmaceutical services as needed. Assist consulting physicians in routine or emergency examinations as requested. Assume responsibility for order and maintenance of the health recordkeeping system. Provide nursing assessment and care to participants and perform other nursing duties as assigned.  Certify staff in medication administration procedures after completion of OMRDD course.  Teach AMAP, First Aid and CPR courses as needed. Maintain TB policy and OSHA standards as required by OMRDD regulations. Ensure all medical administration records are in accordance with applicable regulations and general safe practices. Maintain 24 hour on-call availability to assess consumers’ Direct Care Workers as needed during medical emergencies.  Provide oversight of Direct Care Workers in the areas of consumer health and medical administration.
Skill Needed: Registered by the State of New York as an RN. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license required.

Group Leader – Staten Island

Department: Adult Program
Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 3:30pm
Description:Help establish vocational, volunteer and recreational opportunities for each participant within an integrated, community based setting. Train necessary skills and record behavioral and program data both in the community and at the program site. Driving required.

QIDP – Adult Program – Staten Island

Department: Adult Program
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Description:The QIDP is responsible for overseeing many of the clinical services, as well as operational services for the participants in our adult day hab program.  Ensures that each consumer is involved in a coordinated and integrated active treatment program. Assist the clinical coordinator in scheduling and arranging full clinical team meetings for review of consumer plans of care and treatment. Ensure that accurate, data-based information is available to clinical team and other treating professionals  to help direct treatment decisions. In conjunction with the direct support staff and supervisors, develop goals for consumers that  are based on individual needs. Provide regular review of data and consumer progress. Perform assessments to identify consumer needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Provide training (through in-services and hands on instruction) to staff.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree within the human services field (Master’s degree preferred).At least 2 years’ experience working with individuals with autism and/or related developmental disabilities. Working knowledge of applied behavior analysis preferred.

Teaching Assistant – Long Island

Description:As per New York State Department of Education teacher assistants provide instructional services to students under general supervision of a certified teacher. Requires working on a 1 to 1 basis with a student or with multiple students at a time.

QIDP – Staten Island

Department: Residential Program - Grayson Residence
Hours: Full-time (40 hours)
Description:The QIDP is responsible for overseeing  clinical services as well as operational services for the consumers in the residence. Ensure that each consumer is involved in a coordinated and integrated active treatment program. Assist the Clinical Coordinator in scheduling team meetings. Develop goals for consumers that are written clearly and objectively and are based on individual needs. Provide regular review of consumer data and progress. Adaptive Physical Education Teacher – Staten Island

Description:The physical education teacher is responsible for ensuring that adapted physical education programs are developed and implemented in accordance with behavioral principles, Eden II curriculum and the individual needs of every student. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to helping students to develop motor ability, development of each student’s physical education curriculum in conjunction with the classroom teaching clinical team, writing IEP goals, objectives and updates in accordance with official mandates, developing progress reports for each student and conducting basic physical fitness assessments of each student.
Skill Needed: New York State certification as a physical education teacher. Finger printing clearance – DOE and DOI. At least 3 years of experience in physical education. Speech Therapist – Staten Island

Description:Provide speech services to students in a school setting on a 1:1 basis.  Complete all necessary paperwork including IEP’s, graphing, etc.  Use of augmentative/alternative communication systems (AAC) may be required.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree. Possess or qualify for NYS certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Experience employing assistive technology and/or behavioral principles (ABA). CFY or licensed pathologist accepted. Required fingerprints/medical.

Adult Operations Coordinator – Staten Island

Department: Adult Program - Staten Island
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Description:Oversee day to day operations of the program as well as compliance with safety regulations, and oversee incident and occurrence reporting. Responsible for developing consumers' curriculum, daily scheduling, as well as ongoing supervision of the QIDP’s to ensure scheduling is followed. Supervises QIDP staff in writing IHP goals, objectives and updates and in the implementation of schedules, training of staff in goal implementation and behavior plan implementation. Ensures staff are scheduled for and receive appropriate and required training. Oversee maintenance of consumer case records and maintenance and recordkeeping of agency vehicles.
Skill Needed: Master’s degree in a related field. Three or more years experience in supervisory positions within a service setting for adults with autism / developmental disabilities. Strong computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be extremely well organized and be able to efficiently attend to and complete multiple projects concurrently. HR Recruiter/Admin – Long Island

Description:The Recruiter will assist with recruitment efforts for our Long Island programs; including attending job fairs and visiting local universities, posting job advertisements, conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.  This individual will also assist with administrative duties as needed.

Description:The HR generalist is responsible for ensuring  human capital requirements of each department are met, and program leadership is supported in developing a reliable, sustainable, and competent workforce.  This position will provide direct service to assigned departments and staff (especially in the areas of recruitment, benefits management, and performance management) as well as skilled guidance across areas including employment law, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Skill Needed: Bachelors degree in related field and 3+ years HR experience.   HR experience should include technical knowledge and skills in all aspects of recruitment, employee development, employee relations, compensation,  and benefits.  PHR or SPHR certification strongly desired.  Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. QIDP – Long Island

Department: Adult Program - Long Island
Hours: Full-time
Description:Work with all members of the interdisciplinary team to determine suitable programming for the participants on their caseload. Write individualized Habilitation Plans for all participants, which consist of behavioral objectives that focus on increasing the participant’s independence at program, at home and in the community in various areas of learning. Provide training for program staff on the implementation of the IHP and overall effective teaching strategies. Develop daily and weekly schedules to ensure that structured teaching sessions and other functional activities occur as specified in the IHP.   Promote job readiness and help create new job opportunities.
Skill Needed: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field; prior experience with the developmentally disabled population; prior experience with job coaching; valid driver’s license.

SEIT Teacher – Staten Island

Clinical Director – Staten Island

Department: Diagnostic and Outreach Center

Description:The Clinical Director develops clinical systems and oversees clinical programming and delivery across the ABA therapy and case consultation programs of the Diagnostic and Outreach Center. This includes, but is not limited to, training and supervision of behavior analysts, creation of clinical systems, oversight of client progress, interfacing with families etc.
Skill Needed: Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field. Board Certified Behavior Analyst. New York Licensed Behavior Analyst, or obtains NY License within 30 days of hire. Minimum five years of experience providing Behavior Analytic services to individuals with autism in center-based and/or in-home settings. Experience with common ABA skill assessment protocols (VB-MAPP, ABLLS etc). Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing function-based treatment plans. Experience communicating with families of children with autism and providing hands on parent training to parents . Commitment to Applied Behavior Analysis as a clinical model in the treatment of autism.  Must have availability to work weekday evenings.

Behavior Analyst – Staten Island (Full-time)

Description:Behavior Analysts hired for this position will serve a small clinical caseload across in-home and center-base service delivery settings. Clinical tasks include conducting initial skills/behavioral assessments, developing treatment goals, conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, analyzing goal and behavior data, conducting staff and parent training and working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum as needed. Additional responsibilities include serving on various agency committees, conducting research projects, supervising BCBA, BCaBA and RBT trainees and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required for all positions. Applicants must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work with computer based systems such as Microsoft Office and electronic session scheduling systems.

Nutritionist – Long Island

Description:Provide in-service training on foods and nutrition as required for the residence staff. Prepare menus for a four week period, one month in advance. Meet with the Nurse regarding residents’ diets.
Skill Needed: BA/BS in nutrition, food preparation or dietetics. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.

Adult Respite Workers – Recreational Program
