HR Recruiter/Administrator – Long Island

Description:Assist with recruitment efforts for our Long Island programs; including attending job fairs and visiting local universities, posting job advertisements, conducting interviews and onboarding new hires. Assist with administrative duties as needed.
Skill Needed: Bachelors degree with 2 to 3 years of recruitment experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Registered Nurse – Staten Island

Department: Adult Program
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Description:Maintain accurate and up-to-date health files on all participants. Administer prescribed medications and maintain medical cabinet with all approved medications, supplies and equipment. Schedule and coordinate dental, medical and pharmaceutical services as needed. Assist consulting physicians in routine or emergency examinations as requested. Assume responsibility for order and maintenance of the health recordkeeping system. Provide nursing assessment and care to participants and perform other nursing duties as assigned. Certify staff in medication administration procedures after completion of OMRDD course. Teach AMAP, First Aid and CPR courses as needed. Maintain TB policy and OSHA standards as required by OMRDD regulations. Ensure all medical administration records are in accordance with applicable regulations and general safe practices.
Skill Needed: Registered by the state of New York as an RN. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license required.

Residential Manager – Long Island

Department: Residential Program - Cambon Residence
Hours: Full-time
Description:Provide on-going supervision, training and feedback to direct care staff to promote effective job performance and skilled care and treatment of residents. Ensure proper implementation and documentation of individual treatment plans and group recreational programming. Ensure that the residence is clean and well maintained with supplies (food, cleaning supplies, etc.) and that all vehicles and property are in safe and working order. Ensure residents have adequate clothing and personal supplies at all times. Complete monthly, weekly and daily staffing schedules.
Skill Needed: BA/BS degree (Masters degree preferred). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license from state of residence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel). Strong supervisory experience.

Community Habilitation QIDP – Staten Island

Department: Family Services
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours per week
Description:Provides clinical oversight for Community Habilitation. Conducts staff evaluations and observations (home visits). Develops and ensures the appropriate implementation of Community Habilitation plans. Provides direct feedback and training to direct support professionals on a regular basis and as needed. Conducts functional behavioral assessments of participants and develops behavior plans under the supervision of the agency psychologist. Implements and ensures appropriate data collection. Participates in ISP meetings. Remains in contact with families receiving Community Habilitation service regarding their clinical needs. Driving/transportation of consumers is a potential requirement of this position.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree in a human services field. Experience working with individuals with autism and/or related disorders. Working knowledge of applied behavior analysis.

Lead Shift Supervisor – Long Island

Department: Residential Program - Dix Hills Road
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours/week, days/evening/weekend hours
Description:The Lead Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Residence Manager in ensuring the effective operation of their assigned residence.
Skill Needed: A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Experience working with individuals with autism and/or related disorders. Working knowledge of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). Strong leadership/supervisory skills. Valid driver’s license.

Afterschool Specialty Leader – Staten Island

Department: Family Services
Hours: Part-time: Monday to Friday, 2:45pm to 5:30pm
Description:Responsible for developing activities for an assigned specialty area and adapting them to the functioning level and abilities of participants.  Setting up before and cleaning up after activities.  Assisting participants in the completion of activities and ensuring they run according to schedule.  Ordering/purchasing items for group actitivies.
Skill Needed: High school diploma. Previous experience working with children with autism preferred.  Ability to independently develop a curriculum for subject being taught.

Speech Therapist – Staten Island

Department: Preschool Program
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Description:Provide speech services to students in a school setting on a 1:1 basis. Complete all necessary paperwork including IEP’s, graphing, etc. Use of augmentative/alternative communication systems (AAC) may be required.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree. Possess or qualify for NYS certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Experience employing assistive technology and/or behavioral principles (ABA). CFY or licensed pathologist accepted. Required fingerprints/medical.

Recreational Programs Coordinator – Staten Island

Department: Family Services
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday
Description:Responsible for developing programs, scheduling activities and meeting unit of service and documentation requirements for all respite/recreation programs. Perform intake evaluations for consumer openings. Ensure that all consumers have updated documentation on file (i.e. medicals and psychologicals). Carry out full range of participant protection responsibilities (adherence to necessary supervision levels, occurrence reporting and follow-up).  Coordinate staffing assignments, training and evaluations.  Provide driving assessments for new employees and conducting quarterly van run assessments. Maintain Family Services database with staff and participant contact info. Additional duties as assigned.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree required. At least two years of supervisory experience. Prior experience coordinating recreational programs, preferably for children with autism. ABA experience a plus. Valid driver's license.

Adaptive Physical Education Teacher – Staten Island

Description:The physical education teacher is responsible for ensuring that adapted physical education programs are developed and implemented in accordance with behavioral principles, Eden II curriculum and the individual needs of every student. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to helping students to develop motor ability, development of each student’s physical education curriculum in conjunction with the classroom teaching clinical team, writing IEP goals, objectives and updates in accordance with official mandates, developing progress reports for each student and conducting basic physical fitness assessments of each student.
Skill Needed: New York State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher. Finger printing clearance – DOE and DOI. At least 3 years of experience in physical education. Completion of SPARK curriculum training. Ability to maintain and manage schedules at various locations. Strong planning and organizational skills. Knowledge of health and physical education. Clinical Coordinator – Staten Island

Description:The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical direction and oversight to classroom staff under the general supervision of the program Director. Responsibilities include providing training to staff on reinforcement, behavior plan implementation, data collection and professionalism; supervising proper IEP development, implementation and progress reports; conducting student clinics, evaluating programming, instruction, and materials as well as providing follow up recommendations; performing behavior assessments and developing behavior plans; reviewing and evaluating student data books and conducting staff observations and performance reviews.

Vocational Specialist – Long Island

Outreach Behavior Specialist – Long Island

Description:Provide behavioral and instructional support for students in onsite behavior clinic. Work collaboratively with clinical team to participate in FBA and BIP processes and implement behavioral strategies according to BIP. Data collection, graphing, data analysis under the supervision of behavior consultant and certified teacher.  May require working on a 1:1 basis with a student. Ongoing training provided. Required supervision for BCBA candidates available.

Behavior Analyst – Staten Island (Full-time)

Description:Behavior Analysts hired for this position will serve a small clinical caseload across in-home and center-base service delivery settings. Clinical tasks include conducting initial skills/behavioral assessments, developing treatment goals, conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, analyzing goal and behavior data, conducting staff and parent training and working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum as needed. Additional responsibilities include serving on various agency committees, conducting research projects, supervising BCBA, BCaBA and RBT trainees and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required for all positions.
