Speech Therapist – Staten Island

Department: Preschool
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Description:Provide speech services to students in a school setting on a 1:1 basis. Complete all necessary paperwork including IEP’s, graphing, etc. Use of augmentative/alternative communication systems (AAC) may be required.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree. Possess or qualify for NYS certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Experience employing assistive technology and/or behavioral principles (ABA). CFY or licensed pathologist accepted. Required fingerprints/medical.

Direct Support Professional – Staten Island

Description:Help establish vocational, volunteer and recreational opportunities for each participant within an integrated, community based setting. Train necessary skills and record behavioral and program data both in the community and at the program site. Driving required.

QIDP – Long Island

Department: Residential Program - Cambon Residence
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours per week
Description:The QIDP is responsible for overseeing clinical services as well as operational services for the consumers in the residence. Ensure that each consumer is involved in a coordinated and integrated active treatment program. Assist the Clinical Coordinator in scheduling team meetings. Develop goals for consumers that are written clearly and objectively and are based on individual needs. Provide regular review of consumer data and progress. Perform assessments to identify consumer needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Complete Residential Habilitation Plans. Provide training to staff and conduct direct observation and monitoring of staff in their carrying out of each consumer's individual program plan.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree within the human services field (Master’s degree preferred). At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with autism and/or related developmental disabilities. Working knowledge of applied behavior analysis preferred. A valid driver's license from state of residence.

Administrative Assistant – Staten Island

Department: Residential Program
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Description:The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to all residential administrative staff such as, Managers, Assistant Manager’s, QDIP’s, Behavior Intervention Specialists, Residential Operations Coordinator, and the Director of Residential Services. In addition, they are also responsible for assisting the Director of Training when necessary.
Skill Needed: High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with Excel and Word. A valid driver’s license is required for the position.

Director of Employment & Business Development

Department: Adult & School Programs - Staten Island
Hours: Full-time: Days/Evenings/Weekends
Description:The Director is responsible for forging community relationships with businesses and other not-for-profits to develop employment opportunities for adults with autism as well as overseeing the daily operations of business enterprises and employment programs.
Skill Needed: Master’s degree in a human services related field required (along with a business background preferred). Experience with basic budgeting, grant writing, and business/project plan development desired. 3+ years of experience in a supervisory position within a service setting for adults with developmental disabilities. Strong computer skills. Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. Must possess excellent organization and communication skills. Understanding of funding streams and OPWDD regulations required.

Lead Shift Supervisor – Staten Island

Department: Residential Program - Dixon Residence
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours/week, Sunday to Thursday, various hours
Description:Provide supervision to/model professionalism for direct support staff. Understand each of the participant’s needs and special alerts, and the implementation of their behavior goal plans.Ensure that fire safety and emergency procedures are carried out in compliance with policies and procedures. Ensure that direct support staff complete necessary household tasks, and that residence is clean and well maintained with all necessary supplies (food, household and hygiene supplies). Maintain communication with acting supervisor and managerial staff of daily events. Perform direct support duties when necessary to ensure adequate staffing.
Skill Needed: A high school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred). Experience working with autism and/or related disorders/working knowledge of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). Strong leadership/supervisory skills. Valid driver’s license.

Description:Provide on-going supervision, training and feedback to direct care staff to promote effective job performance and skilled care and treatment of residents. Ensure proper implementation and documentation of individual treatment plans and group recreational programming. Ensure that the residence is clean and well maintained with supplies (food, cleaning supplies, etc.) and that all vehicles and property are in safe and working order. Behavior Specialist – Staten Island

Adult Services Without Walls Coordinator – Staten Island

Description:Responsibilities include supervising all staff to ensure that each is working to provide a safe and effective learning environment for the participants; training staff on agency and program policies and providing written performance evaluations; arranging for the transportation of participants in the program, and coordinating the daily use of program vehicles, ensuring that vans are kept clean and in safe operating condition; ensuring that participants are engaged in productive, functional tasks during program hours and following their schedules and goals; reviewing all data collection for accuracy and completion; ensuring medication administration is done so in accordance with NY state and Eden II policies and procedures; maintaining on-site participant case records and billing documents.

Community Habilitation QIDP – Staten Island

Department: Family Services
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours per week
Description:Provides clinical oversight for Community Habilitation. Conducts staff evaluations and observations (home visits). Develops and ensures the appropriate implementation of Community Habilitation plans. Provides direct feedback and training to direct support professionals on a regular basis and as needed. Conducts functional behavioral assessments of participants and develops behavior plans under the supervision of the agency psychologist. Implements and ensures appropriate data collection. Participates in ISP meetings. Remains in contact with families receiving Community Habilitation service regarding their clinical needs. Driving/transportation of consumers is a potential requirement of this position.

Adaptive Physical Education Teacher – Staten Island

Description:The physical education teacher is responsible for ensuring that adapted physical education programs are developed and implemented in accordance with behavioral principles, Eden II curriculum and the individual needs of every student. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to helping students to develop motor ability, development of each student’s physical education curriculum in conjunction with the classroom teaching clinical team, writing IEP goals, objectives and updates in accordance with official mandates, developing progress reports for each student and conducting basic physical fitness assessments of each student.
Skill Needed: New York State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher. Finger printing clearance – DOE and DOI. At least 3 years of experience in physical education. Behavior Analyst – Staten Island (Full-time)

Description:Behavior Analysts hired for this position will serve a small clinical caseload across in-home and center-base service delivery settings. Clinical tasks include conducting initial skills/behavioral assessments, developing treatment goals, conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, analyzing goal and behavior data, conducting staff and parent training and working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum as needed. Additional responsibilities include serving on various agency committees, conducting research projects, supervising BCBA, BCaBA and RBT trainees and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required for all positions.
