Department: Adult Day Program
Hours: Full-time
Description:Help to establish vocational, recreational, and volunteer work opportunities for participants; arrange daily classroom schedules and staff assignments; supervise and teach assistants, substitute staff and interns.
Skill Needed: High school dipoloma or GED, Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Valid driver’s license

Teacher – School Program – Staten Island

Department: School Program
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Description:We are currently seeking a full-time Teacher to join our school program. The Teacher will provide instructional services to students under general supervision of their program Director and will work on a 1:1 basis with a student or with multiple students at a time in a classroom environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing students' IEP goals and behavior management plans, implementing and collecting data on goals and plans, supervising teacher assistants, administering curriculum-based assessments, developing and maintaining student data books and writing progress reports and updating ancillaries.
Skill Needed: • Department of Education fingerprinting clearance required upon hire • Valid NYS Teaching Certificate in Developmental Disabilities (Internship) (Initial) (Professional) or (Permanent) (Conditional) • Strong planning and organizational skills • Knowledge of classroom management. • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Speech Language Therapist – East Meadow, NY

Department: Genesis School
Hours: Full-time
Description:Provides direct service to school age and young adult students on the autism spectrum utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Provides direct service to Outreach students, on-site and off-site, as necessary. Provides consultation to day habilitation program as necessary. Collects data and graphs all speech-language and communication programs.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree. Possess or qualify for NYS certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities(TSSLD).  Experience employing assistive technology and/or behavioral principles(ABA). CFY or Licensed Pathologist accepted.

Direct Support Professional – Staten Island (Part-time)

Associate Behavior Analyst – Staten Island

Department: Diagnostic & Outreach Center
Hours: Full-time
Description:Behavior Analysts hired for this position will serve a small clinical caseload across in-home and center-base service delivery settings. Clinical tasks include conducting initial skills/behavioral assessments, developing treatment goals, conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, analyzing goal and behavior data, conducting staff and parent training and working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum as needed. Additional responsibilities include serving on various agency committees, conducting research projects, supervising BCBA, BCaBA and RBT trainees and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required for all positions. Applicants must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work with computer based systems such as Microsoft Office and electronic session scheduling systems. Individuals must also pass a criminal background check.

Nutritionist – Long Island

Department: Residential
Hours: 1099 - Consultant
Description:Provide in-service training on foods and nutrition as required for the residence staff. Prepare menus for a four week period, one month in advance. Meet with the Nurse regarding residents’ diets.
Skill Needed: BA/BS in nutrition, food preparation or dietetics. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.

Adult Respite Workers – Recreational Program

Department: Family Services - Staten Island
Hours: Mon-Fri 3:30pm to 5:30pm
Description:Direct care for recreational program working with adults.
Skill Needed: HS diploma or GED.  Must pass SCIP training provided by the agency, first aid and CPR. Valid NYS drivers license with good driving history needed for van runs.

Behavior Intervention Specialist – Staten Island

Department: Residential and Adult Programs - Staten Island, NY
Hours: Full time - days/evenings/weekends
Description:Conduct functional assessments and develop behavior intervention plans to treat problem behavior.  Conduct/oversee staff training.  Collect and analyze behavior data.  Maintain clinical paperwork as regulated by state.  Assist in development of skill acquisition goals and reporting case progress to supervisors.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree in an applied field of psychology (related fields may be considered).  BCBA preferred but not required.  5+ years’ experience developing and overseeing behavior intervention plans for individuals with disabilities and significant problem behavior.  Knowledge of ABA with documented training in assessment techniques and behavior intervention planning.

Description:Delivers ABA therapy according to an ABA Therapy plan that is developed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
