Respite Coordinator – Staten Island

Department: Family Services
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday
Description:Perform intake evaluations for consumer openings. Ensure that all consumers have updated documentation on file (i.e. medicals and psychologicals). Coordinate staffing assignments and training.  Assist with staff evaluations and oversee staff disciplinary actions.  Provide driving assessments for new employees. Additional duties as assigned.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree required. At least two years of supervisory experience. Prior experience coordinating recreational programs, preferably for children with autism.

Registered Nurse – Staten Island

Department: Residential Program
Hours: Full-time: Various hours
Description:Maintain accurate and up-to-date health files on all participants. Administer prescribed medications and maintain medical cabinet with all approved medications, supplies and equipment. Schedule and coordinate dental, medical and pharmaceutical services as needed. Assist consulting physicians in routine or emergency examinations as requested. Assume responsibility for order and maintenance of the health recordkeeping system. Provide nursing assessment and care to participants and perform other nursing duties as assigned. Certify staff in medication administration procedures after completion of OMRDD course. Teach AMAP, First Aid and CPR courses as needed. Maintain TB policy and OSHA standards as required by OMRDD regulations. Ensure all medical administration records are in accordance with applicable regulations and general safe practices. Maintain 24 hour on-call availability to assess consumers’ Direct Care Workers as needed during medical emergencies. Provide oversight of Direct Care Workers in the areas of consumer health and medical administration.
Skill Needed: Registered by the State of New York as an RN. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license required.

Direct Support Professional – Staten Island

Department: Residential Program - Dixon Residence
Hours: Full-time: Mon & Wed, 2pm-12am; Sat, 9am-2pm; Sun, 9am-12am
Description:Direct Care which includes light housekeeping, cooking, ADL skills, meal preparation, community outings, appointments, and laundry. May require you to drive participants in the community.

Behavior Specialist – Long Island

Department: Genesis School
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Description:Participate in development and revision of behavior intervention plans (BIP) for students. In-service and train staff on BIP implementation. Graph all behavior data and submit monthly summaries of behavior data and graphs to a Clinical Coordinator at the end of the month. Assist other staff in class with the upkeep and updating of their data books. Create token systems, behavior contacts, DRO boards for students in class.
Skill Needed: At least six (6) months experience utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Completion of a degree in a related field or continuing education to complete a degree in a related field.

QIDP – Long Island

Department: Adult Program - Long Island
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours per week
Description:The QIDP is responsible for overseeing many of the clinical services, as well as operational services for the participants in our adult day hab program. Ensures that each consumer is involved in a coordinated and integrated active treatment program. Assist the clinical coordinator in scheduling and arranging full clinical team meetings for review of consumer plans of care and treatment. Ensure that accurate, data-based information is available to clinical team and other treating professionals to help direct treatment decisions. In conjunction with the direct support staff and supervisors, develop goals for consumers that are based on individual needs. Provide regular review of data and consumer progress. Perform assessments to identify consumer needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Provide training (through in-services and hands on instruction) to staff.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree within the human services field (Master’s degree preferred).At least 2 years’ experience working with individuals with autism and/or related developmental disabilities. Working knowledge of applied behavior analysis preferred.

Adaptive Physical Education Teacher – Staten Island

Department: Preschool Program
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Description:The physical education teacher is responsible for ensuring that adapted physical education programs are developed and implemented in accordance with behavioral principles, Eden II curriculum and the individual needs of every student. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to helping students to develop motor ability, development of each student’s physical education curriculum in conjunction with the classroom teaching clinical team, writing IEP goals, objectives and updates in accordance with official mandates, developing progress reports for each student and conducting basic physical fitness assessments of each student.
Skill Needed: New York State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher. Finger printing clearance – DOE and DOI. At least 3 years of experience in physical education. Completion of SPARK curriculum training. Ability to maintain and manage schedules at various locations. Strong planning and organizational skills. Knowledge of health and physical education. Medicaid Service Coordinator – Staten Island

Description:The Medicaid Service Coordinator (MSC) acts as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities by linking them to services needed. The MSC assesses the psychosocial needs of individuals and their families, assists with completing paperwork and maintaining evaluations (medical, psychological and psychosocial), develops and updates Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), maintains contact with families and individuals via telephone, face to face meetings and regularly scheduled home visits.
Skill Needed: Bachelor's degree in Health or Human Service Field. At least one year of experience as a service coordinator, or one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Valid driver's license.

Description:The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical direction and oversight to classroom staff under the general supervision of the program Director. Responsibilities include providing training to staff on reinforcement, behavior plan implementation, data collection and professionalism; supervising proper IEP development, implementation and progress reports; conducting student clinics, evaluating programming, instruction, and materials as well as providing follow up recommendations; performing behavior assessments and developing behavior plans; reviewing and evaluating student data books and conducting staff observations and performance reviews.

Behavior Intervention Specialist – Long Island

Description:Conduct functional assessments and develop behavior intervention plans to treat problem behavior.  Conduct/oversee staff training.  Collect and analyze behavior data.  Maintain clinical paperwork as regulated by state.  Assist in development of skill acquisition goals and reporting case progress to supervisors.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree in an applied field of psychology (related fields may be considered).  BCBA preferred but not required.  5+ years’ experience developing and overseeing behavior intervention plans for individuals with disabilities and significant problem behavior.  Knowledge of ABA with documented training in assessment techniques and behavior intervention planning.

QIDP Supervisor – Staten Island

Description:Provides supervision to Family Services Community Habilitation QIDPs .  Writes, reviews and oversees the development of the program’s community habilitation plans as per OPWDD regulations and Eden II agency protocols. Develops behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Maintains regular contact with parents/guardians to gather information necessary to update community habilitation plans. Schedules and oversees team meetings. Conduct home visits of participants within caseload on a regular basis and provide oversight to the QIDPs in performing home visits.  Coordinate with other programs, including those in other agencies to visit the home and plan meetings together. Review of ancillary files for department ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations. Conduct administrative functions for the Family Services’ Crisis Team Program and Evaluation Program.
Skill Needed: Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Experience working with autism and/or related disorders. Working knowledge of applied behavior analysis. Experience working in a supervisory capacity.

Outreach Behavior Specialist – Long Island

Description:Provide behavioral and instructional support for students in onsite behavior clinic. Work collaboratively with clinical team to participate in FBA and BIP processes and implement behavioral strategies according to BIP. Data collection, graphing, data analysis under the supervision of behavior consultant and certified teacher.  May require working on a 1:1 basis with a student. Ongoing training provided. Required supervision for BCBA candidates available.
Skill Needed: Candidate must have completed a total of 18 credits towards meeting the requirements of an Associates or Bachelors degree or have experience working with individuals with autism. Must pass New York State Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills exam. Fingerprint clearance.  Experience working with individuals with autism and applied behavior analysis desired.

Behavior Analyst – Staten Island (Full-time)

Description:Behavior Analysts hired for this position will serve a small clinical caseload across in-home and center-base service delivery settings. Clinical tasks include conducting initial skills/behavioral assessments, developing treatment goals, conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, analyzing goal and behavior data, conducting staff and parent training and working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum as needed. Additional responsibilities include serving on various agency committees, conducting research projects, supervising BCBA, BCaBA and RBT trainees and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Skill Needed: Master’s Degree and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required for all positions.
