Eden II is committed to providing services beyond the daily educational and vocational programming. The agency recognizes the importance of home and community based services as well as parent training to address skill acquisition, generalization, and behavior management in a variety of environments. The Eden II Family Services Department focuses on four distinct areas of service provision: Medicaid Service Coordination, Family Supports and Services, Medicaid Waiver programs, and Clinical Services focusing on behavioral supports.
Medicaid Service Coordinators are advocates for individuals with disabilities with the goals of advocacy and assisting individuals with community inclusion. MSC’s assist in individualizing programs, supporting independence and self-reliance. In their role as advocates, they are involved in linkage of services and assist in maintaining Medicaid certification.
Family Support Services include Crisis Respite, Summer Day Camp, Overnight Community Trips, Respite Trips, a Socialization Program, and Parent Training. These State Funded and Medicaid Waiver services provide respite services. These respite services afford families a much needed break from care-giving while providing recreational opportunities to the individual.
The Family Services Department provides two in-home waiver services: Community Habilitation (training in the home to address skill acquisition and behavior management) and Respite (to provide breaks to family members from care-giving). Eden II’s newest addition is the overnight Respite at Collfield, a two-bedroom respite facility with one-to-one staffing.
Clinical services which provide behavioral support to individuals and families in the community include Crisis Intervention, and Intensive Behavioral Support Program. Evaluation services are provided for those individuals who are seeking eligibility for OPWDD services.

Some of the activities included in the Adult Recreation Program curriculum are: Exercise, Computers, and Cooking. Behavior management strategies are incorporated into programming for all participants.
Medicaid Service Coordination assists persons with developmental disabilities and their families in gaining access to services and supports appropriate to their needs. Medicaid Service Coordinators use a person-centered planning process in developing, implementing, and maintaining an Individualized Service Plan.
At Eden II Programs, Medicaid Service Coordinators are specifically trained in the needs and services available to individuals with autism. Our Service Coordinators assist families by making referrals, completing applications, and coordinating the multiple services that individuals with autism are eligible to receive.
*Family Support Program
The Crisis Intervention Behavior Management Team provides intensive assessment and intervention services for families that are in a crisis situation. These families require in-home training in order to provide them with strategies in managing the severe behaviors often associated with Autism. Individuals with Autism often display challenging behaviors such as self-injurious and aggression. These problems usually intensify in the home if they are not attended properly.
Through interviews with the family, a service needs assessment will be developed.
Eden II Crisis Intervention provides parent training and behavior intervention plans.
Eden II offers Community Habilitation to children and adults with autism. Services are provided in the home as well as in the community. The Community Habilitation program is designed to teach skills, address maladaptive behaviors and provide opportunities for community inclusion. The philosophy of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is utilized by all of our well trained staff.
