Established in 1976, Eden II Programs began with just six students and one special education teacher. Today, the not-for-profit organization serves over 700 individuals and families across New York City and Long Island. The mission of Eden II Programs is to support people with autism through service, science, and passion, empowering them to achieve their full potential throughout their lives. Using the evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Eden II addresses the challenges associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is nationally recognized as a leader in supporting individuals across the autism spectrum, including those with the most significant needs.

Eden II Programs provides a comprehensive continuum of services from early childhood through adulthood. On Staten Island, the agency supports over 200 families, including more than 50 children in its preschool program and over 100 students in its school-age programs. Adult Day Habilitation services support more than 150 individuals, while eight community residences provide safe, supportive living environments for adults with autism. In 2015, Eden II opened the
Honorable James P. Molinaro Center for Autism, a state-of-the-art facility serving students ages 8–21 and housing the organization’s administrative headquarters. Additional services include Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS), Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) services, Community Habilitation, Respite, Afterschool programs, and Family Support services.

On Long Island, Eden II’s Genesis School program serves over 50 students ages 5–21, while Adult Day Habilitation programs support more than 50 individuals. The Genesis Outreach Autism Center further expands the organization’s reach, supporting many children and families through outreach and behavior clinics. Eden II also operates two community residences on Long Island, complementing its eight residences on Staten Island, all of which provide stable, supportive homes for adults with autism.

Beyond direct services, Eden II Programs offers consultation and training locally, nationally, and internationally, extending its impact to countless individuals, families, and professionals. Within its facilities, dedicated spaces such as the First Floor Café and Performing Arts Center create opportunities for individuals to build life skills, foster independence, and express themselves creatively, while strengthening meaningful connections within the community.
