Eden II welcomed radio show host Frank Morano as Principal for the Day. Frank, executive producer the Curtis Sliwa radio show and host of his own show on AM970 The Answer.

“I’m happy to welcome Frank as our principal for the day today. He got a chance to hear from our teachers and students, and learn more about the exciting work being done in Eden II’s classrooms,” shares Dr. Joanne Gerenser, Executive Director.

Frank notes, “My visit to Eden II was an absolute delight. Not only did I have the honor of cancelling math homework as the principal for the day, but I was incredibly impressed by the hands-on approach to education and development that both the students and staff demonstrated. I found the entire trip incredibly enlightening and I think Eden II’s innovative use of technology and attention to students’ individual needs should be a model for educational programs everywhere. I’ve never been prouder to walk through the halls of a school”.

The tour highlighted the daily activities of students at the agency’sGranite Avenue school for children with autism. Among his many stops in classrooms and offices, Frank was able to learn more about Eden II’s new plans for their buildings onBeach Street, where the agency purchased three properties in Stapleton. His tour was provided by Billy Irvine, a student at the school who has great affection toward his role of tour guide.
