A Message from Joanne Gerenser
Dear Friends,
The Staten Island Dinner Dance scheduled for this Friday night at the Hilton will go on as planned. Many people are anxious to have some pieces of life get back to normal.
We at Eden II realize that this is a difficult time. Some of you have lost everything, and our hearts go out to you. The experience has left us all feeling sad. We want to take this as an opportunity to come together to heal and work to move forward.
If you are able to come to the event, we ask that you bring some canned or non-perishable food to donate, or some new kitchen items (like a small appliance or silverware set). These items collected will go to Eden II families on Staten Island and Long Island that have been severly impacted by Hurricane Sandy. In addition to these items, we are also accepting gift cards to provide to those impacted, or you can make an online donation by clicking on the “Donate Now” button in the top corner of every page on our website, and mark in the notes that your gift is made for families affected by the storm.
Let’s use this event to both raise much needed funds for Eden II Programs but also to support our friends and families still in need. If you are an Eden II family and have been affected, please reach out to us so we can help!
Thank you for your support.

Warmest regards,
Joanne Gerenser, Ph.D., CCC-SLP
