Denise Jordan has 21 years of experience in the autism field, and is the proud parent of Nicholas, a 21- year-old with autism who currently lives in an Eden II residence. Denise is a passionate advocate for her son and all who are unable to do so for themselves. For the past 15 years, Denise has worked at a non- profit organization where they strongly support and advocate on behalf of parents of children with autism and other developmental disabilities. She has been able to build strong relationships and communicate with other parents as well as other stakeholders who support the autism community. Denise believes that every individual should be seen as a person first and the disability second.

Denise is the proud author of “Seeing Autism through a Different Lens”, sharing her journey with her son from his initial autism diagnosis to residential placement. Her book was written to inspire other moms to know they are not alone, to reach out and get support they need.
