


Scholars After School Program (Ages 6-21)
*To receive services, the individual must have a diagnosis of autism
The Scholars After School Program is for individuals in Staten Island diagnosed with Autism/Asperger Syndrome between the ages of 6-21. The program is held Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm from September to June. This program prepares individuals to lead a more independent life by focusing on functional skill building in a supportive and inclusive environment while incorporating technology that facilitates daily living. Activities will include Homework support, Computer literacy, Skill-building activities of daily living to build independence, and enhancing social skills. Participants can sign up for 1 to 5 days a week, depending on availability.

Adult Recreation Program (Ages 21 and Older, Staten Island only)
Eden II’s Adult Recreation Program provides a respite opportunity for young and older adults to participate in recreational and leisure activities in a structured environment. This service provides respite for caregivers who have difficulty finding care for their young adult/adult and offers more opportunities for socialization. Some of the activities included in the Adult Recreation Program curriculum are Exercise, Computers, and Cooking. Behavior management strategies are incorporated into programming for all participants.
Hours of Operation: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Monday thru Friday (Participation can be either full or part-time).

After School Recreation (Ages 5-21)
Participants engage in and learn various recreational and leisure activities. Daily classes such as cooking and sports are conducted to teach skills in a fun and structured environment. Depending on availability, participants can sign up for one to five days a week from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
Transportation is provided to all Brooklyn residents. Staten Island residents should ask about availability.

Community Habilitation (In-Home Service)
(Brooklyn and Staten Island)
The Community Habilitation program is offered to children and adults with autism in Brooklyn and Staten Island. Services are provided in the home as well as in the community. The program is designed to teach skills, address maladaptive behaviors and provide opportunities for community inclusion. All of our well-trained staff utilize the philosophy of ABA. The Community Habilitation program is fully Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliant, and staff are trained in using the EVV system for service documentation.

Holiday Recreation Program (Ages 5-21)
The Holiday Recreation Program is designed for Brooklyn and Staten Island school-age children. Holiday Recreation typically runs six days per year during four school vacations and holiday breaks. The program consists of full days of recreational activities with two community outings and one indoor recreational day. Holiday Recreation (Day Trip) fees are $30.00 per day.
Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Overnight Trips (Ages 5-21)
The Overnight Trips program is designed for Brooklyn and Staten Island school-age children. Overnight Trips typically run two times per year during school and holiday breaks. The program consists of a three-day, two-night stay at a kid-friendly resort or local venue with an activity schedule. Overnight Trip fees are $300.00 per 3-day trip.

Respite Services (In-Home Service)
(Brooklyn and Staten Island)
Eden II provides Respite Services to children and adults with autism in Brooklyn and Staten Island. This service affords families a much-needed break from caregiving while providing recreational opportunities to the individual.

Socialization Program (Ages 13-21)
Our Socialization Program is designed for participants to interact with their peers while engaging in activities throughout the community to promote social skill acquisition. Participants in the Socialization Program engage in various activities, which include: trips to the movies, SI Yankee games, Medieval Times, and St. George Theatre, as well as indoor activities such as carnival game nights, dance parties, and holiday activities. Participants sign up in advance. This is a 12-month program that meets bi-monthly.
Hours of Operation: Most Fridays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM; this may vary due to special seasonal events.

Summer Day Camp (Ages 5-21)
Our Socialization Program is designed for participants to interact with their peers while engaging in activities throughout the community to promote social skill acquisition. Participants in the Socialization Program engage in various activities, which include: trips to the movies, SI Yankee games, Medieval Times, and St. George Theatre, as well as indoor activities such as carnival game nights, dance parties, and holiday activities. Crisis Intervention Services (Ages 3-25)
The Crisis Respite is temporary short-term help, which gives parents and caretakers a break from caregiving in case of an ill parent, severe behavioral issues, or if the short-term provision of child care is essential for a family and they have exhausted all other resources.
To qualify, the individuals must have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, be under 21 years of age, and reside in Staten Island or Brooklyn.

Crisis Respite (Ages 3-25)
The Crisis Intervention Behavior Management Team provides parent training and behavior intervention plans, intensive assessment, and intervention services in Staten Island for families in a crisis. These families require in-home training to provide strategies in managing the severe behaviors often associated with autism. Individuals with autism often display challenging behaviors such as self-injury and aggression. These problems usually intensify if they are not attended to properly.


Clinical Assessments
(Brooklyn and Staten Island)
Eden II provides psychological and psychosocial evaluations for children four years old and above who do not have Medicaid and requires these evaluations to determine eligibility. These evaluations satisfy the OPWDD eligibility testing requirements (IQ and adaptive scores and Autism Rating scales)
