Brendan Lantry has been a board member of Eden II since 2021.

In his professional life, he serves as a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, Civil Term, New York County. He earned his B.S. from St. John’s University’s Tobin College of Business and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.

By administrative order, Justice Lantry has been assigned to the 1st Judicial District (New York County) since January 2023. He presides in IAS Part 46, where he handles a wide range of civil matters, including commercial disputes, personal injury cases, real property matters, products liability actions, and proceedings brought under Article 78.

From 2023 to 2026, Justice Lantry served in Supreme Court, Criminal Term, New York County. During that time, he presided over numerous felony jury trials, resolved hundreds of motions, supervised special grand jury proceedings, and oversaw investigations and matters handled by the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Special Investigations Bureau. Before his election to the New York Supreme Court, he served as a Judge of the New York City Civil Court in Richmond County.

Prior to joining the bench, Justice Lantry practiced in the private sector, concentrating in commercial litigation, commercial lending, and real estate.  He has also held several public service roles, including an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, Counsel to the New York City Council Minority Leader, District Director in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Legislative Aide in the New York State Senate.
