GrettaPlease join us in congratulating Gretta D’Agostino for receiving the Above and Beyond Award for September. This monthly award is a great way for us to recognize and thank staff, students, volunteers, and the community who go above and beyond for the agency, helping to promote and raise needed funds for the program’s growth.

Gretta has been a valuable member of the autistic community for many years. Her efforts to help those with autism have resulted in 4 new schools in Staten Island that support both children and adults with autism. Gretta currently volunteers her time at the Eden II School, helping out with fundraising and various office assignments. Gretta has worked tirelessly to help those with autism, including her son, Peter. Peter was one of the very first students at the Eden II Day Programs.  When asked what her greatest reward has been since becoming involved with Eden II, Gretta replied: “My son’s progress has definitely been the greatest reward. I am very grateful to the school that has helped my son so much. He has made great strides as a result of being a participant at Eden II, and I am very proud of him.”  Gretta also volunteers at the Carlton Residence, where her son currently resides.

We are so very fortunate to have Gretta D’Agostino as a part of the Eden II family. As a recipient of the Above and Beyond Award, Gretta will be recognized on a permanent plaque on both Staten Island and Long Island.
