Robert J. MacFadyen, JD, is a Vice President of the Quality and Patient Safety Division and has been with RUMC since 2021. Prior to that Robert was for a short-time a practicing attorney in the beginning of his career. Since that time Robert has dedicated himself to Hospital Quality and Safety for the past 15 years. Working as a Director of Performance Improvement, Regulatory Affairs and Quality for Saint Peter’s Healthcare System and University Hospital. During his work with previous organizations he led successful projects including important work with The Joint Commission. Two initiatives were among the first in the nation pilot programs with The Joint Commission’s Target Solutions Tools. Robert has given lectures for APIC, The University of Pennsylvania and various organizations. He has his Juris Doctorate from Widener School of Law and his graduate certification in the Health and Hospital Law from Seton Hall Law School as well as several other certifications and professional qualifications.
