Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS)

SETSS

Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS) support school-age students 5 years of age and older who are eligible for services through their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Services are delivered by New York State–certified special education teachers and are individualized to address each student’s academic, behavioral, and functional needs.

Eden II’s SETSS model is similar to our SEIT approach and may be provided in a variety of educational settings, supporting students in the least restrictive environment while promoting access to the general education curriculum. SETSS services may include:

Implementation of the student’s IEP goals and objectives

Development, coordination, and monitoring of behavioral and instructional supports

Collaboration with general and special education teachers

Coordination of educational programming with therapists and families

Ongoing communication and parent collaboration to promote consistency and carryover
