Facilities – Staten Island
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
The Facilities Maintenance/Repair Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of agency sites. This includes following scheduled maintenance plans and completing unforeseen repairs. They are also responsible for providing the snow/ice removal function for all worksites and serves as the contact for fire alarm notifications and outside vendors. The Maintenance Specialist will also conduct fire/emergency drills at all agency locations and serve as supervisor of fire alarm systems at NYC locations with fire alarm systems.
High School diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license with good driving history. Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in maintenance or construction field. Ability to perform hard physical labor both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. Basic electrical, plumbing, drywall skills required. Must hold FDNY Certificate of Fitness F-07 (Fire Drill Conductor) and S95 (Supervision of Fire Alarm and Other Related Systems) Availability to work overtime both before and after regular business hours. Must have good interpersonal skills.
$20 per hour
