Full-time: 40 hours/week
Description
Maintain accurate and up-to-date health files on all participants. Administer prescribed medications and maintain medical cabinet with all approved medications, supplies and equipment. Schedule and coordinate dental, medical and pharmaceutical services as needed. Assist consulting physicians in routine or emergency examinations as requested. Assume responsibility for order and maintenance of the health recordkeeping system. Provide nursing assessment and care to participants and perform other nursing duties as assigned. Certify staff in medication administration procedures after completion of OMRDD course. Teach AMAP, first aid and CPR courses as needed. Maintain TB policy and OSHA standards as required by OMRDD regulations. Ensure all medical administration records are in accordance with applicable regulations and general safe practices. Maintain 24 hour on-call availability. Provide oversight of direct care workers in the areas of consumer health and medical administration.
Skills Needed
Registered by the State of New York as an RN. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license required.
Pay Rate
$83,200 – $87,360 per year
