John Patala has been the Director of Staten Island Residential Services since March of 2004. Previously he has had experience overseeing both supportive and supervised residential services, as well as managing both an IRA and ICF. His experiences also include working as a QMRP and overseeing a geriatric/medically frail individualized residential alternative in Brooklyn. Mr. Patala has his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Long Island University and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the College of Staten Island. He has recently presented at the NYSACRA Conference on strategies involved in developing and operating a respite care facility. He has also presented on many different topics including Fire Safety and Community Inclusion.
