Supporting adults with autism in achieving meaningful, self-directed lives requires an integrative approach in how we design supports, structure environments, and foster communication. This conference highlight innovative approaches that promote independence, purpose, and engagement for adults with autism across diverse settings. Sessions explore balancing independent repertoires with sustainable community support systems, implementing proactive crisis prevention across environments, leveraging personal preferences to expand function communication, and shaping novel leisure skills to enhance quality of life and social fulfillment. Together, these topics provide a framework to reimagine support systems that empower adults with autism to thrive with independence, connection, safety, and fulfillment.
The webinar offers 4 BACBs, 4 NYS Psychology CEUs, 4 NYS Social Work CEUs, and 4 NYS Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE).
