As we ease away from the COVID pandemic and the special allowances that were put out to protect Medicaid and Social Security related benefits, many individuals with disabilities who receive SSA and/or Medicaid services find themselves with excess funds that could affect their eligibility status. ABLE accounts are a way to protect a person’s benefits while allowing them to save money for other expenses.
