Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families have different wants and needs throughout their lifespan. However, preparing for their future in the area of living outside the family home is often left undiscussed for a variety of reasons. To properly and effectively plan for someone’s future, family members and individuals need to know what options they have. This presentation will provide families, advocates, and service providers with knowledge and options for consideration when it comes to preparing for residential placement.
