This event will be useful for parents and caregivers of children with special needs, SLPs, and Behavior Analysts, as well as anyone who works with the ASD population.

Event Objectives

Following this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the characteristics of ASD that can make community outings challenging
2. Identify at least 3 simple proactive strategies that can help make community outings be more successful
3. Describe how schedules, contracts and token systems can be used for community outings
4. Describe strategies that can be employed to help with successful trips and vacations.
